The birthday post (part ii) is up!
Took me months to finally find time to consolidate the pictures from various sources, edit the video, upload the pictures and BLOG. Yay! :)
After this post is done I can finally move on.. to settle more backlog! So yes, here we go. Enjoy the load of pics :)

a very last minute email invite
It all began with an idea to make my 21st birthday more memorable. Have been contemplating (Recall a post where I was whining whether to have a party or not. Around that period in time), but couldn't quite make up my mind due to the reasons stated in that entry.
As usual, I was such a procrastinator that I was still thinking about whether should I hold a party after my birthday (you can't really blame me since my birthday was in the midst of the horrible exam period).
And when my friends started to ask, "Eh, are you going to hold a birthday party or not huh?"
Then I started to wreck my brains for ideas and venue.
Thought of using JT aunt's multi-purpose hall but was fully booked; thought of holding on in a movie cafe in Haji Lane but shelved due to tight budget; thought of going to SAFRA but I thought it was kind of troublesome, still need SAFRA card and such.
In the end. I thought of McDonald's.
Why? All because I was working on an assignment based on McDonald's and been diligently surfing their website for info. Tada! Stumbled upon the "Planning birthday party session".
Then I thought, "Why not?" McDonald's is providing food, venue and entertainment, so all I have to do is to pay. Woo. Within budget too! Double woo.
So there started my search for the McDonald's that's ulu and located near to everyone else's house.
Anyway, that was how I landed myself in Bedok Reservoir McDonald's, booking for the venue and making myself look damn childish in front of the barely 18 year-olds. These 18-year olds are going to be the coordinators of my party! By the way, I was so sure that they were so amused by me. At the end of the party, I found out that I was the oldest birthday girl in BR McDonald's. The average age of the birthday girl/boy is 4. -_-''
Being in such a kiddy place warrants everyone to act like kids that day. That's why I wrote explicitly in the invite for everyone to be spontaneous. I was so worried no one's going to play lor!
ANYWAY, the actual day stuff.

min, jer and me! :)

before everyone got high
THE GAMES
The first game of the day - The Musical Chairs! Was quite difficult initially to get the 20-somethings to play such a kiddy game. Nonetheless, my spontaneous tkgirls + huili and weiee joined the fun! :)

and i'm out at the FIRST round. call me gracious. haha!

caught koh jt stealthily walking out of the game! watch the video! he's out at the first round too ok!? not me only! lol.
THE ACTION

MIN! You take great photos lor! All at the correct moment!
A video of all the musical chair action - I seriously hope this works! First attempt using Photobucket's video function.
Watch it here
Followed by the rounds of other games, which was spontaneous, everyone was playing if I'm not wrong. Must have gotten the adrenaline rush from watching the "match" between Huili and Weiee :) Btw, we created such a din that EVERYONE was watching us. EVEN the manager and those over at the counter. So much for choosing an ulu Mac!

Pass the ping-pong

Blow balloons
And another pass the ice-cream sticks! Caihong was so amused throughout the process :)
My group was the final winner! Yay!! :) Reward: Pencil (stuff they use to pacify kids made us elated anyway, lol)

Had our Happy Meal lunch :)

And in the midst of everything, the lil' notes on my big card writing-in-progress:

Cut-cake time!

tkgirls

mj kakis

enjoying the cake!
To my surprise, they prepared a Lucky draw session!

poh, one of the lucky winners! :)
Followed by random photo-taking session with the door gifts (aka happy meal pack)

my favourite pic! lol.

My bunch of kakis gave me these:

Lil' notes on a Big big card.

Big is an understatement. It's a VERY big card indeed.
