my last day at work... working night shift. 11-7am. bah. ive got around 2.5 hrs to the end.. pushing on.

sudden craving for macdonalds hotcakes plus sausage! urgh. i hate night hunger pangs.

ive developed mixed feelings to the end of work life. i'd miss the colleagues.. the lucrative pay.. the night card games.. and perhaps i'd miss talking to customers via headset (!!).. =)

nonetheless, i'd definitely want to have a break.. school's commencing soon! *roar* i just hate mugging.. stupid vicious cycle of exams and projs. crap. urgh! >_<

backtrack..

s310 gathering at marina square! kudos to hweelee, the group of us finally got to meet up after much procrastination. glad that everyone's doing really fine.. moving on with lives. =) that's when i realise we've grown up. (i tried to put my thoughts into words but its really.. un-describable.. if there's such a word) its yet another round of mixed feelings, somewhat conflicting.

za makeup class with jeraldine.. this is really fun la! learnt quite a bit from this class. e.g. the correct way to wash your face is to use the middle and the ring fingers ONLY and "scrub" the cheek and forehead area in a circular motion first, before moving onto smaller areas like the t-zone? using whole hand (which im sure everyone is guilty of this) will result in too much pressure onto the delicate face.

also, i finally learnt the correct method to curl nicey lashes! damn exciting! =)

the instructor taught us step-by-step from cleansing to the finishing glossy pout. we walked out of the class with a "technically-correct" makeup! woohoo! took loads of pics with jer. took more pics of myself. i am so narcissistic =D

mahjong session at mingshu's house.. didnt play much there. in fact, i only stand in for steven for one round. but fun nonetheless snapping photos (!!) and playing playstation with jer. wah lau. jer is damn high la. practically she won the rounds by screaming and feverish jamming any available keys -_- ..

lunch with fellow qbs and pat at lerk thai.. had a yummy treat! loved the tom yam soup (super shiok) red ruby and the steaming hot tapioca with coconut milk. damn nice. hmm.. on a softer note, wonder when will i get to see my fellow batch of qbs. altho the bulk are going to be in the same campus.. but i just wonder when will we get to meet up?

classic example is me and my dearest roomie. one in hss and the other in nbs PLUS the fact tt we live in the same room.. but we seldom get to see each other can. *sob*

shopping trips.. haha. got lots of zhan4 li4 pin3.. (e.g. i bought around 6-7 earrings already..) but im not satisfied! muaha.

alright alright. i know u are getting bored. let's stop here.. 1+ hr more to the end of work! yeah! =)

my last E8 shift! and tmr.. which is actually saturday.. would be my last last day working. =D thank goodness i survived working! true enough working has really honed my tolerance level sooo much. ive learnt to be kinder to people in the service line. be it a phone receptionist or a salesgirl. i try to treat all with a smile.. with a big thanks =) yes. ive learnt to appreciate all the little things people do for me.

playing "fortune-telling" with jeraldine at this moment. you know, that sort of "guessing" how your future hubby would be like.. gauged on a basis of "love", "handsome", "rich" and "brainy".. yes, that sort of secondary school game. we are playing it now. lol..

to play the game, u got to shuffle the cards as many times as the age you want to get married. e.g. say i want to get married at the age of 40. so i shall shuffle 40 times.. and no, shujuan dont want to get married at 40. i wanted 30. but is it fate or what, no cards allowed tt. and it went up and up.. till 32. oops..

according to the readings, im suppose to have a very handsome (full score 12), quite love me (scale of 10), moderate level of intelligence and wealth (score of 5 each).

wow. i wonder how true can such a secondary school game be.

i realise i have been trying to blog everytime im working 8-4am shift. and this would be my 3rd attempt to blog.. and i wonder whether i will ever be able to post this entry. past attempts told me that what im going to type is eventually going to be saved as draft. nonetheless, the night (or should i say morning) is young... so let me just try blogging.

so far i should say this hols has been a roller coaster ride.

start of hols: been super bored? wasting money idling around. not contributing.. frantic job search

then..: i took on 2 jobs! one working shift duties in a bank.. the other as a hair color consultant! woohoo! (but haha, i was just a promoter in chim-er terms..) tiring, but fufilling. more exposed to the industries im interested in. and i got to meet many dynamic figures.. and learnt alot along the way.. knowledge and also patience..

made many friends along the way too! =)

it always take a heartbreak to make someone realise how important a special someone has made an impact in your life. often, its just a tad late. and that slight difference in time has robbed away my chance to tell someone she's been great.

yes, i can never tell her anymore.

she's gone. 19 years old. cruel cruel accident that could have been avoided.

how often do you flip the papers and empathise with the deceased or the victims?

ooh! today i was out with poh and BOW!! yeah! finally seeing a new face other than poh! lol.. we went to tampines kelly services. i kind of dragged rainbow along cuz i assumed poh didnt know the place either. well, so far what i know is no temp jobs available. sigh. im so jobless.

nonetheless, the trio went out =D window shopping at tm and century square. attempting to look for gifts but erm, ... got distracted. stopped at pizza hut for lunch. i had such a salty plate of spaghetti. bah! we moved on to chinatown. attempted to take quite a few photos but the effect is quite bad. must be the lighting. haha..

the next stop: people's park centre!

poh and my initial plan for today was to make contact lens. so yup. we went there, in hope to see the legendary cute guy.

sigh. the optical shop sure looks crowded, wonder if they'd have the time to teach me put on contact lens.

double sigh, the cute guy is not there!!! rarrrr! so sad k.

triple sigh, we got served by an auntie who was playing with a toddler, who seems like she knows nuts about the eye. poh went to get her contact lens while i requested for a trial pair of contact lens (which mean someone to teach me how to wear it). SIGH! she tried her best to sound as polite as possible but it's easy to read between her lines: can't you see we are busy? go somewhere else and play and stop disturbing us. like what she'd say to the toddler who is fidgeting with the spectacles and optical what-not. a right minded person would not want to have a trial pair of lens today.

oh man. i didnt see this coming at all! the last time when poh and me came to do our geeky specs, it wasnt like this at all. i tell you, the service was great. so great that we couldnt forget the optician who see us through the process of detailed eye examination, the courteous lady who patiently showed us the dozens of specs to try on, the sheepish and blur er.. help-out in the shop. especially the optician. he is good ok! gosh. that tuesday when me and poh went to collect our geeky specs, the shop was actually quite busy too. i wanted to try out wearing contacts. he! he actually spent time with me and taught me how to put on contact lens even though he know that i was just there to try it out!!!

digressing// people are saying that poh and me look like sisters! man. must be those specs.. lol. //

i tell you, putting contacts is not easy ok. alright, im slow. i thought it is a feat to put something into your eye. like you know, when a tiny bit of sand blows into your eye, your eye immediately gets irritated. let alone contact lens! digressing.. well, yes. i took such a long time and i havent really master the correct way to wear contacts la. like until he finally exclaimed, "hey, your friend has waited for quite some time right?" (yes, at this moment, poh is rotting at the other side of the shop, scrutinising the every employee) yes, i took that long and havent succeeded.

haha, yup, that tuesday, it turned out that poh ordered the contacts while i got to learn more before i can buy. bah. so today! a tuesday, we went back to the shop and left with a whole load of disappointment. we got served by that blur auntie, i couldnt try out the contacts and poh got to wear such funky misty grey contacts while i CAN'T! im so jealous!!! >_<>

we lingered in people's park centre for a while, discovered alot of d-i-ys, enquired a few travel agencies (yes, we settled on bangkok) then proceed to people's park complex. we thought that might as well ask a few more travel agencies and so, another episode. we realised that not many travel agencies are all ready to serve you with a smile -- they are all busy with their telephones. it can be quite difficult to yes, enquire. on top of that, many are not that willing to spend time telling us the details, especially because we are on budget and on free-and-easy. they just quote a price, time of flight and that's it. not until we approached one of the suspiciously similar kind of travel agency. you don't know what is good service until you see karen. she was really good. other than quoting the prices and the usuals, she made the effort to show us the map of bangkok, the better hotels, and EXPLAINED to us which could be a better hotel than the other. man, she is not obliged to do this you know. good service made us happier again. =)

karen made us so hyped up about researching on bangkok. so guess what? we made our way to the national library! lol.. found some useful info on bangkok and also on makeup. we were so amazed by how girls revamped simply due to makeup. then, poh went home while me and bow went bugis street. i discovered a manicure shop that has express manicure at $7! wow.. cool deal!!

then we went bugis parco and seiyu. i caught eye on a watch. although it's selling at 9.90, i was rather indignified because in that range of watches, i have one watch that is exactly the same which i bought at 5 bucks. and they claim that the mechanism of the watches are made in japan. it is so good that even when you take out the battery, the watch will not stop. is it me or is he doubting my intelligence? i then asked him, "if the watch can function without the battery, why need the battery?" and he tried to beat around the bush. bah.

... alright, i typed long enough to entertain you guys for quite a while. have fun =)

i dreamt of STARS again! yeah!!

its been quite a while since i last dreamt of stars like AShin.. =) and now, today.. i cant believe my good luck.. i actually DREAMT of RAIN!

no! not that weather rain, but KOREAN star who is nominated as one of the most influential people worldwide by TIME magazine (if im not wrong)!!!

*scream*

i actually remembered my dream so vividly:

setting -- EUNOS mrt station.. the area where the "Buzz Kiosk" is located. don't ask me why.

i was walking out of the station when i saw a fleet of reporters running and scurrying around. heard them muttering, "where's rain? where's rain?" they must be blind, because i caught sight of Rain almost immediately. he was buying something at the Buzz Kiosk!!!

by reflex, i ran towards him of cause. and yeah, easy to guess the following action i did if you are a attentive listener to my random Ashin dreams -- i asked for his autograph!! wee!! but sigh, he gave me a rather im-not-free-to-give-you-my-autograph look. i was rather guilty because i know he is busy. so, i sheepishly uttered "mi-an-hae-yo", which means "im sorry", when he walked away.

the funny part starts.

rain actually stopped and looked at me with a question-mark look on his face. he asked me in english, "why did you say mianhaeyo? do you know what it means?" i think he must have expected me to say "saranghaeyo" (which means i love you!) or "rain! you are so cuteeee!", like any other die-hard fans.

then i go, "yeah, it means im sorry, because i took up your time..."

then he SMILED at me sooo radiantly! my goodness! its comparable to the angelic smile Ren from Skip Beat! would give~~ he must have thought that i was a understanding fan or something! haha!!

i melted instantaneously.

when he walked away, me and ganbee (i don't know when she appeared) and the both of us SCREAMED like mad! as if we just hit the jackpot or something.

although im not really a fan of his, but gosh. he is still a star. a mega star to be exact.

man, this is such a happy dream.. =)
