S310 goes overseas!

...

Well, across the Straits of Johor also "overseas" I suppose, no? :) Anyway, S310 finally spends with a different currency (the previous trip we went to was Bintan, and we spent in SGD.. -_-)!

Talks of the trip started probably during the Bintan trip itself. With our almighty procrastination and relentless coordination by JT, we finally set off in December 08 (Yes, I know this is long overdue...)!

Waiting for the mono-rail

View from the mono-rail: Look Ma, no railings!

It's super creepy taking the mono-rail. It speeds like hell and I always have a bad omen of it toppling to one end. And all of us gonna fall to our deaths *choy* There's no way to study/read in the monorail. For once, I thought our local MRT is such a great blessing, comfortable and has an extensive network.

Monorail and SALE!

Welcome to Bukit Bintang - aka KL's Orchard Road

Welcome to the hustle and bustle of city life - Noise, pollution and loud billboards.

Pavilion - aka KL's Paragon. I love their huge Forever 21 boutique!

... Too busy to take pics while shopping! Heh.

A feat to comb every level..

Settled down in a HK restaurant for a light dinner of congee.

Day 2 - We went Mid-Valley! Gah, more train rides!

Poh getting a lil' grumpy of the incessant rain and 1004824 train rides. I like this pic!

Despite the long rides, we love to self-entertain by taking loads of pics! :)

Finally, Mid Valley.. We trudged on into the mall with our awfully tired feet. Time for pedicure~

Photobucket

Not as fantastic as I thought it should be (looking at the posh exterior of the salon). But well, we're glad.

Caught sight of this locally long-gone fad catching up in KL -

Photobucket

An intriguing sight, I can't help to think - Oh man! Whose legs did the fishes feed on before his turn?!

Our loots

Hmm, how should we display them?

Tadah!

My share~

If you've realised the left hand side of the table is pretty empty, thanks to JT who bought only a bottle of shoe white! *Faint*

Day 3 - Mad rush around KLCC

Photobucket

Can't emphasis enough how "rush" everything went. Made it to board the coach in time anyhow :)

Photobucket
Home with loads of loot.

Watched Transformers during the coach ride! Can't wait for Part II... Woots!

Yay, finally I'm done with this backlog! :)

Then I realised...

... the pursuit of beauty isn't as easy as I thought it'd be. And "beauty" does not necessarily equates to the outer aesthetics; Rather, the art of remaining inert with this ugly vying society.

...

On a side note, I came across this mag and there was a section on palmistry. Alas, I'm proven to be right when I say I'm commitment-phobic. I really am.

On a side side note, I want to watch Suspect X! I haven't catch a movie for eons! Finally time for a (short) breather~

Wish I was here...

Awesome performance! I'm totally captivated and awestruck - Attracted by their charisma on stage; In-awe of their prowess that no other band can second them. Really.

"I could not look back
you'd gone away from me
I felt my heart ache
I was afraid of following you
When I had looked at the shadows on the wall
I started running into the night to find the truth in me..."

Just to let you know...

... that I'm still breathing and (barely) alive :)

Promise to update (Yes with all the "backdates" & pics since Bintan trip! Omg.) during the long CNY break! Whoopee~

Damn that reminds me. CNY is round the corner and I've no time for shopping! -_-''

I promise...

I'll never, ever get myself drunk and wasted in any circumstances, happy or sad. Never.

(Depressing to see how others show their fragility when they're drunk..)

The man wants the cake, and eat it too.

I was cabbing from Orchard Road last night. On the way home, the taxi driver became.. well, quite emo and started to pour woes to me (I suppose I looked approachable?).

He started by asking if I've ever encounter a similar situation whereby I'm in love, with two.

As the "pouring woes" session continued, the whole scenario got clearer, becoming a very typical Taiwan melo-drama material -

He is 42, married with two kids (around 12 years old). Currently sleeping in separate rooms from his wife AND having a not-really "underground" affair with another woman, who incidentally was his ex-girlfriend 10 years ago.

He told me there's no sparks between him and his wife anymore. What's left is only to shoulder responsibility for his two kids. By a twist of fate, he met his ex-girlfriend (who's divorced) and that rekindled the passion the two of them once shared.

He asked if I were him, what'd I do?

I told him outrightly that I'd go with my feelings - If there's no love anymore, I really see no point clinging onto a broken relationship. What's the point of making everyone miserable? Why not start afresh for everyone?

He hemmed and hawed, probably in disbelief that I could answer him so outright without a waver in thought.

"How about the children? They are still young.."

"But a clean break can end everyone's misery. Why not? You can't have the best of both worlds, sacrifice is inevitable.."

Then he went into the main point, "But if I divorce with my wife, I'll lose everything. My properties, money... You know between love and bread, bread is also very important.."

"...."

In the end he's just a self-centred jerk who wants the best of both worlds. My heart goes out to his wife really. To marry a man for more than 12 years, bearing him two kids, and then to realise he doesn't love you for all you've done, for HIM.

I'm amazed how he was able to say all these without a tinge of guilt towards his wife. All he knew was his ex.. well, current girlfriend is suffering too.

Argh, what is freaking wrong with him?!

As I was about to alight from the cab, he told me he has asked alot of youngsters (20-30s) about their opinions and their answers are similar. Precisely! End off this relationship and free your wife!

Guess what, he said the differing views are attributed by generation gap. The youngsters are not so "home-oriented".. Unlike him.

...

1001 excuses to cover for his selfishness.

Are all men like him??

Omg, I'm seriously losing faith with love.. And my future judgment.

Surreal as everything seems...

All I ask for is everything to be a little less complicated.. A little would suffice.
