Last 2007 Post!

Can you believe it? The year is ending AGAIN! *Gasp
Time flies in a flash!

I chose not to go out this year 'cause I'm really sick of bad crowds.
Anyway...

A list of the new/interesting stuff I've done this year:

*Biggest S310 class gathering this year

*Took a pic for NUS Charity Drive



*Directed my TVC project (very last minute though)



*Indulging in online shopping!

*Ate for the first time at Changi Village

*Ate durians in the night bazaar (had a hard time prying open durians too)



*Became a student interviewer

*Internship in an IMC company



*Someone drew a picture of me



*Showered with great lobangs, thanks to my PA company




one of my favourite events :)

*Japanese tourist wanted to take a pic with me!

*Been to the new club for quite a number of times, due to jobs/just to have fun



*Appeared on Mumtazz, due to job too. (Guess my internship has given me a whole different exposure) + Drinking different types of alcohol concoctions, discovering Bloody Mary isn't really our cup of tea



*Took up an assignment for SPH omy website

*Trying out house calls for pedicure



*Realise Clara does the best pedicure package, comforting footscrubs to the max!



*I wonder why, but I was approached by this guy (uni student he claimed) while I was crossing the road at Orchard area. He was very interested in the textbook I was holding (or it seemed) and kept asking me school related matters (as far as I remember). We talked for a while after we crossed the road and parted. But of all places, would you approach a girl/guy crossing the road about school matters? What a strange encounter.

*Ate steamboat in open area (And I guess I ate steamboat for the most number of times this year - CNY eve/Rainbow's treat/Colleagues' treat/Lisi's treat/Bugis/Jiemin's treat)





*Participated in competition (still on-going)

*Friends I hardly keep in contact with called/sms-ed me for Christmas countdown. 受宠若惊!

*Baked cookies for the first time!



*Went for Nth number of 21st birthday celebrations

*Had four birthday celebrations (details up soon, as you've seen from the Sneak Preview) for myself

*Bouquet of lovely gerberas, thanks to Jiemin :):)



*Finally joined Facebook (after being coerced by Jiemin since Uni Year 1 :p)

*Had a hard time recovering from being an escapist. I should be doing fine.. I hope.

2008 will be a much challenging year for me. Last semester, graduation, jobs.. But other than the paper chase, I'd like to..

*Procrastinate less

*Do more events

*Learn a language

*Learn to cook something, so that I can teach Jiemin (and in turn she'll learn 2 new dishes to teach me!)

there're just too many things happening this december! :)

oh yes, just wondering if anyone experienced déjà vu before? its always the case where i dreamt about something and experienced it real life, some time later. really freaky! omg. but if that's the case.. i don't mind if the nice dreams turn out to be a reality eventually! muahahahaha!

anyway, I KNOW HOW TO BAKE COOKIES! muahahahaha! just imagine a girl who last stepped into the kitchen with a RECIPE was when she was having her home economics practical?

the ingredients needed for cookie baking: butter block, brown sugar, white sugar, plain flour, eggs, vanilla essence, baking soda, baking powder, not forgetting.. chocolate chips! the amount of each ingredient will differ for different types of chocolate chips.



basically, you just need to mix all the ingredients into the mixer bowl with all the correct proportion! just like this:


mingshu kept complaining that it's very tiring to mix everything together. just treat it as a time to tone muscles lor! exercise while baking :)

we packed cookies into 4 containers and still have alot lor! mingshu and i took 2 containers each. and before i could share with my friends, the cookies were WIPED OUT by my family in 2 days lor. see? it's yummy! :):)

bake some cookies next time? i'd love to.. but i only have a miserable toaster. sigh. let me explore things i can "bake" with my toaster yeah? haha

21 dec - steamboat at bugis
i was late again! zhiming threw me a glare and complained he was about to faint of hunger :( and it didnt help that the original steamboat place we planned to go was having a terrible queue. :(:( eventually we settled at another one nearby.

christmas eve at ECP

the trio wanted a healthy and economical christmas eve celebration and headed down to ECP. you'll know later why it isn't that healthy and economical after all :)

bicycle rental for 2 hrs. but we covered 3/4 of ECP in about 1 hr or so. got bored and return the bike for FOOD HUNT. we were very excited over ice-cream chef! some of my friends might have received my irritable SMS to seek for directions.

we were flipping through the menu and felicia noticed these strange names...

i didn't know 7-up is a PRINCE CHARMING! lol. and poor coca cola is a black bull? how sad.

oh wait.. her bento is about $9-10. my baked rice is around $9. but why the discrepancy in serving size huh?! felicia's bento is like an ultra value meal lor!

we then went to the arcade nearby and played very cheap arcade games! i even tried the passe "dance dance revolution" and "para para dance" lor. cuz NO ONE IS AROUND! lol.

we got influenced by the bowlers downstairs and decided we should be bowling too! and we had a super lame guy giving us 3 socks and not 3 pairs of socks! felicia was sooo amused by the joker.

bowling was kinda stressful.. the people around us are either "spare" or "strike". us.. no comments. lol. but we did improve in the later rounds hor.

we left the bowling alley and began our walking trail for ICE-CREAM CHEF. thanks to reliable directions shared by mr koh!

alas. ice-cream chef is closed at 7pm for christmas eve. time: around 8pm. o_o

tired and famished (again), we took a bus to parkway parade. but the trio was too tired and decided to eat at nearby 328 katong laksa instead.

we went home afterwhich. no more jostling with the crowd in town! happy~

competition week has been crazy

round one phase one is finally over. been popping by starbucks for days, gulping down caffeinated/non-caffeinated frappes and hot cocoa for the most times in a row. all the late nights and deprived sleep were crazy. one full week of it - the competition topic just couldn't get out of my mind. we've been working hard on coming up with the proposal and creatives - so hard that i even dreamt of having a meeting discussing about it. omg.

having to work with a team of people from different institutions for the first time was challenging and a real good eye-opener.

talk intelligently, give constructive comments and contribute something useful.

so far, competition has been bittersweet - im finally doing something close to what i want to do in future; yet there are two working styles i discovered (and dislike very much) which could possibly be rampant in the creative line.

such irony.

time to indulge in random things again..

(but this time round, 我是冒着被K的悲惨命运，小心翼翼地写this blog entry哦。)

mr koh, my kind friend, was forced to gladly offered to help me print 20+ pages of a really horrible exam case study (full page, full colour! grateful.). and so, i barged was invited (in)to his house!

honoured, i guess. i got to be the first (?) among the jc clique to see his uberrrrrrrr neatttt apartment. freaking clean and minimalist. and everywhere is in perfect order! omg, i'd have gone crazy if i stayed longer. after all, i'm a 乱中有序 kind of person. heh.

so while i was still amazed by his cd album collection (enough to open a small 2nd-hand cd shop) and the shelves of books, encyclopedia and the likes.. mr koh entertained me with Ngee Ann Secondary School's yearbooks.



mr koh was very excited kind enough again to show me his class pics + *ahem*poh*cough**cough* lower secondary pics.



some of them changed sooo much! goodness me. while others (those MJ guys), still look the same lor! i could recognise them in a second.

The past few weeks flew in a flash. GOSH. Here's a quick list of what I did (if I can recall correctly):

• Event at Ophir Road
• Event at Taman Jurong
• A day of nail-modeling :D
• Part-timing at PA company
• Data-entry.. *Still feeling guilty, thankfully I've got a realll good boss :)
• K-boxed! My sis chose old-school + ultra difficult songs! Madness to the throat.
• Darling friends post-celebrated my birthday with a whole load of surprises *more about this in later posts ;)
• Shopped at IKEA. Woah.. Loads of random impulse purchases.
• A lot more shopping!
• Online shopping :)
• Watched 2 movies in a row - "Enchanted" and "HERO".. Memerised by Takuya Kimuraaaaa~~
• Being deeply impressed by 萧敬腾!!

Currently busy with..

• Competition Round I, Phase I
• Watching Cyril Takayama's street magic. AWESOME! He can grab hamburgers from posters! Or a handphone from magazine! 0_0 Go on and type "Cyril Takayama" in Youtube search engine.
• Online shopping
• Loving black satin-like feel structured skirt. Although I'm not quite sure if I'll be wearing it frequently, am still loving the whole coool structured sey. Woohoo~

Going to be busy with..

• Final Year Project
• Learning how to bake cookies
• Gatherings
• Competition Round I, Phase II

However, there are times when I'm not so busy.. Once, I was so bored at work that I drew this using Paint. Yes, that paint application in your computer right now.

The 16-17 year-olds love my random doodlings! :)
