Obligatory Birthday Post for Mingshu

... Because I saw your tags on my tagboard - twice, for a birthday post :p Aiyaaa, I was just too lazy to upload the pics until now. I'll be sending my lappy to the service centre soon, so might as well (If I'm still feeling awake and upbeat later on the night, I'll probably add another update! I did so much random stuff this longggg hol, ha!).

But I'll dedicate entries to you anyway, this is evidence. Just a tad late :D

Part I - Dinner + Movie outing with the QBs in Tampines

I was late, but Tyng Feng was soooo much later! Lol, he wins hands down for being late! While waiting, I got fascinated by Mingshu's galore of chess-like nails.

We were still waiting for TF in Swensens and the co. decided to give Mingshu her birthday present! Anna Sui collection!


Mingshu is realllly trying her best not to flaunt her new Anna Sui toys, to me! Hurmph -_-;

TF finally came and the group of us went to watch "Get Smart". It's slapstick but entertaining nonetheless :)

Part II - Steamboat + Stay-over with TK bunch!

Inspired by Lisi, Mingshu decided to have her birthday cum gathering session in steamboat style. Steamboat style is probably a good way to sit around and talk/gossip/shout/laugh for a long time (Since you have to sit around the table and cook). Pretty much as what you'd expect, it was a great session to talk about everything (I can't remember what we exactly covered but I'm pretty sure we covered the essential topics within that 3-4 hrs).

Since Lisi's 21st, chicken wings have become a "must-eat" whenever we are at her place. The chicken wings are marinated to perfection with their family's secret recipe and taste really yummy when cooked in the convection oven. Not a single one of us can resist the temptation and we find ourselves eating one after the other whenever each batch is served hot from the oven. Thinking of it makes me really hungry now. OMG..

Of course, MS loves it to the max and even requested Lisi to prepare the chicken wings for her party! We are in for a treat! :D


The legendary. (Oh, but the cleaning up (for the oven) was a painstaking task, more about that later!)

Yay a group photo before Ivy and Bee had to leave to meet their bfs.



It was followed by rounds of mahjong. We played till like midnight lor! Addictive. The rest of us began cleaning up the table mess and all. Being a lazy bum I am, this is probably the first time I've done such a big scale kitchen cleaning up. A lot of dishes, utensils and OMG the CONVECTION OVEN! We have a love-hate relationship.. It produces tender chicken wings that are not gelat.. because the oil is all drained into a pot, something like a "catchment area".

The bottom layer is the pot solely used to contain the oil dripped from the meat. -_- And do you have any idea how many chicken wings we cooked?

All I can say is we had to dispose almost 1/2 pot of oil away, and the rest is up to your imagination.

After the dreadful cleaning up and our washing up, we had mahjong (in half sleep mode) again. To perk us up, Bunny shared with us chocolates from Holland!

We finally slept at around 5am and left her house at probably 9 or 10am. Tired but FUN! :)

woohoo. decided to give myself a lil' break from all the mundane projects/assignments/tutorials/(you know it) :) and since it's already october (arh! which is so freaking fast la.. bah.), i will continue with the rest of the september birthday partyyys.

shihui's (as you've guessed, i forgot the exact date, and i lazy to flip my organiser.)
she's always there to motivate me by saying things will eventually turn out right. thankful to have her around to calm my jitters (fyp.. arrr. nv fail to daunt me like crazy).

and, a good way to celebrate a birthday -- project discussion! ha, we had project discussion at TCC. and i love it there! the ambience, the food, the food decor, the service.. thumbs up! (or perhaps i'm too under-pampered in those regular restaurants -_-)

ivy(nbs) and ivy(tkgs)

one weekend and i attended 2 ivys' parties!

the first was held in smu fruch. it's a nice chill-out cafe/pub with loads of games! we tried to entertain ourselves by playing board games and card games (and that's when i know what's taboo, or rather, the game is called taboo. haha), but eventually got bored. so took pics again lor!

then it was cut-cake time!

then we got high playing those arcade-sy games. i kept screaming (living up the spirits of a tkgian), which left chua's bf utterly bewildered. oops. i thought its a norm to scream?! eh, if the rest of the tkg peeps were there, fruch's window panes will be gonecase i tell you. hiak hiak.

my tkg ivy's birthday party, as usual, gathered the force of the tkgirls. located at aloha loyang :)

slept over at the chalet.. and gave ivy a lil' present.. teehee. ivy likes the casio sheen watch we gave her. feminine yet digital. gave a hard time to poor lisi and mingshu who were busy looking for a good one! xin ku le!! :)

psst.. i discovered alot of ivy's lil secrets! hohoho. the wonders of sleepovers. everything (uh, not exactly everything la. but still.) - exposed! hiak hiak hiak.. :)

a major event every year.. a must-attend get together. (:

my CNY spirit long diminished, thanks to nonsensical projs that thwarted all my wonderful plans. nonetheless, the tradition of tk kakis bai nian-ing remains. and it must be a chu er. and it got to be huiting's house, lisi's house, followed by pig-out cum mahjong session at mingshu's house.

to mingshu's house.. (: huiting's mum commented that ive changed and grown prettier! *blush*

i so wanna flaunt my biscuit ear studs! yum.

my new pumps. with invisible socks. lol.. shocking? totally out of this world? :) my dress sense took a bold change this season. ha.

anyway, i was damn heng for the mahjong session. i was the overall winner leh! got all the nice suites! woohoo~ first time. lol.. then proceed to blackjack. i was the banker. i won the most too. ban luck, ban ban.. so happy la! then lisi and bee were like so high.. the volume was up, our voice got hoarse. ha.

we tried playing with the adults and i think the adults got -_-'' by us. cuz we kept screaming. even though it was a (small, for the adults) bet of $2. lol. exciting la. lol.

then. the rest of my cny break is dumped for proj. hurhur. no life le la.. =(
